Bachendri Pal to embark on camel safari

Jaisalmer, Dec 23: Mountaineer Bachendri Pal, the first woman to scale Mt Everest, will embark on a camel safari from Rann of Kutch in Gujarat to Ganganagar in Rajasthan from Jan 6 next year.

According to sources, Bachendri will meet the villagers in the border areas of Rajasthan and Gujarat and try to make them aware of several welfare schemes during her camel safari.

Sources said Bachendri will be accompanied by her associates on 10 other camels, which will form part of the convoy. The journey would be through Barmer,Jaisalmer and Bikaner and would end in Ganganagar in the first week of February.
