Adriano ends dry run to extend Inter's winning streak

MILAN, Dec 23 (Reuters) Brazilian striker Adriano scored his first goal in more than nine months as leaders Inter Milan equalled the Serie A record of 11 straight wins with a 2-1 victory over Atalanta today.

Unbeaten Inter go into the Christmas break with a seven-point lead over AS Roma who beat Cagliari 2-0 with goals from Brazilians Rodrigo Taddei and Mancini.

Inter's run of victories equals AS Roma's Serie A record which was set last season.

At the San Siro, Adriano, who last scored in the league on March 11, brought Inter level with a diving header in the 65th minute after Cristiano Doni had given Atalanta a first-half lead.

An own goal, 10 minutes later, from Atalanta defender Simone Loria gave Roberto Mancini's side victory.

On a good day for Brazilians, Kaka and Ricardo Oliveira were on target for AC Milan in their 3-0 win at Udinese Italy striker Alberto Gilardino also finding the target.
