5 women held in flesh trade racket

Shivpuri(MP), Dec 23: Police arrested five women for running a flesh trade racket and forcing a minor girl from Bhopal to enter into prostitution.

The arrest was made yesterday on a tip-off from Bhopal after the girl's father informed the police about his daughter entrapped in the prostitution racket run by Seema.

Police said the girl, while travelling by train from Bhopal to Ganjbasoda few months ago, was abducted by two youth Vickky Bedia and Devu, who took her to Shivpuri, where she was sold to Seema for Rs 40,000.

The girl, who resisted attempts to force her into the flesh trade, ultimately gave her after she was beaten up by Seema. Through a customer, the girl informed her parents about her plight.

Police said Seema, her daughter Soni, Mamata, Pushpa and Anjali were arrested, while three minor girls were also detained. Two youth, who abducted the girl, were absconding.
