Two naxalites killed in an encounter in Orissa

Malkangiri, Orissa, Dec 22 (UNI) Two naxalites were killed and as many injured during an encounter with the CRPF near Motu in the naxalite-dominated Malkangiri district today.

Police said the CRPF forces had an encounter with the armed naxalites during a combing operation in Motu.

The Naxalites, on seeing the CRPF forces, first launched an attack forcing the latter to retaliate and in the ensuing encounter, two naxalites were killed and as many injured.

However, no jawan was injured in the incident.

The force also seized some arms and ammunition after an hour-long encounter with the naxalites.
