Hyderabad, Dec 22 (UNI) Some Opposition Telanganana Rashtra Samiti and Telugu Desam members were suspended by Speaker K R Suresh Reddy for a day on the last day of the winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for stalling the proceedings today.

While 11 TRS members present in the House were suspended this morning for plunging the house into a state of pandemonium, 25 TDP members were suspended in the afternoon for obstructing proceedings, insisting that a discussion on the power situation and drought be taken up first and not the Margadarshi issue.

Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu was not present at the time of suspension.

Earlier, trying to break the impasse, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, intervening, suggested that voting be conducted on what discussion should be taken up first. However, TDP did not budge from its stand.

After two adjournments following uproarious scenes, the Speaker named the TRS members and suspended them for noisy scenes over alleged 'objectionable' remarks against them by Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy.

The suspended persons included TRS floor leader G Vijayarama Rao, former TRS Ministers A Chandrasekar, Capt Laxmikanta Rao, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and T Harish Rao as also former TDP Ministers T Devender Goud, Y Ramakrishnudu, K Subbarayudu and Uma Madhava Reddy.
