Hyderabad, Dec 22 (UNI) Pandemonium prevailed in the Andhra Pradesh Asembly on the last day of the current winter session today, when Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) members stalled the proceedings demanding an apology from Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy for his alleged remarks about them.

TRS member and former minister T Harish Rao even rushed towards the septugenarian Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah, who was trying to bring the House to order. Another Congress member Krishna Reddy complained that he was manhandled by Harish Rao and another TRS member Nayani Narasimha Reddy when he tried to block the former from advancing towards Rosaiah.

Earlier, the House was adjourned twice as Speaker K R Suresh Reddy could not conduct the proceedings as TRS members rushed to the well and raised slogans against Minister Diwakar Reddy.

Though the Speaker rejected six Adjournment Motions raised by different parties, it was the TRS, which insisted on a debate on Diwakar Reddy's remarks about TRS MLAs yesterday and stalled the proceedings.

Raising slogans TRS members staged a dharna inside the House yesterday, when the Minister was holding a high-level meeting with officials of his ministry.

Later, talking to newspersons, the Minister was reported to have remarked that the TRS MLAs were behaving like ''street rowdies.'' MORE UNI JRK SSC BD1344
