Three naxals shot dead
Jagdalpur, Dec 22 (UNI) In an operation launched jointly by Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra police, three naxals, including a military platoon deputy commander, were today shot dead in an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, police said.
''On a tip-off that the ultras were hiding in Dagundola village adjoining Maharashtra, a joint police operation was launched by Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh Police,'' Kanker Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gupta said.
Four guns, one pistol, explosives and other materials were seized from the spot.
