Bhopal, Dec 22 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress today alleged that Pakistan-sponsored terrorist and anti-national activities were growing in the state's Malwanchal region due to the apathy of the state government towards law and order situation.

Congress General Secretary Manak Agrawal told reporters that the fact was disclosed in a letter written by Mumbai-based businessman Rewantidas Jaikumar to the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner on March 17.

''In the letter, the businessman had claimed that terrorist outfits had lured two youths working in his factory for terrorist activities and even wanted to take them to Pakistan for training,'' he said.

Mr Agrawal said police received information from the two youths that the work was being carried out from Mahidpur, Aalot, Ghosla, Ratlam, Jawra, Nagda and Ujjain in Malwanchal region.

After the disclosure, Ahmedabad police sent a team to Indore on March 17. However, it was informed that the Madhya Pradesh police took no action in this regard.

Regarding suicide by woman Assistant Sub-inspector Chetna Sharma in Bhind due to alleged harassment by the Superintendent of Police, he said a letter sent by Chetna to the National Commission for Women before her death in this regard proved that the ASI was being mentally and physically harassed.

He demanded an impartial inquiry into the matter and lodging of FIR against the SP.
