State Govt decides to give loan to 4000 unemployed

Agartala, Dec 22 (UNI) Tripura government has decided to provide loan to 4,000 unemployed under Prime Minister Rojgar Yojna during this fiscal.

State industry and commerce minister Tapan Chakraborty in reply to a question in the recently concluded winter session of the Assembly said the state government had planned to provide loan to 4000 unemployed youths under PMRY and Khadi Margin Money scheme during this fiscal.

During 2005-2006 an amount of more than Rs 18 crores were provided to 2473 persons under the PMRY scheme the minister informed.

The income from the India-Bangladesh border trade, the amount of import had also increased during the 2005-2006 than it was in 2003-2004. While the import amount was more than Rs five crore during 2003-2004, it has gone up to more than Rs 29 crore during the 2005-2006 year, Mr Chakraborty stated.
