Santosh Jha gets bail in flood relief scam

Patna, Dec 22 (UNI) Patna High Court today granted regular bail to Santosh Jha, the main accused in multi crore flood relief scam.

Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad granted bail to Mr Jha, accepting his plea that he should be given relief as all accused in this case had already been released on bail following orders of various courts.

Mr Jha and the then district magistrate of Patna Gautam Goswami were among the other accused in the flood relief scam in which crores of rupees meant for distribution of relief material among flood victims of north Bihar, were siphoned off.

As per the charges filed by state Vigilance bureau, the agency investigating the case, Mr Jha had masterminded the entire scam.
