Rs 80 lakh revenue during bhavanis visit

Vijayawada, Dec 22: The Kanakadurga Temple atop Indrakeeladri has netted a revenue of Rs 80 lakh during December 11-16, when Bhavanis (devotees) thronged the temple to end their 40-day 'deeksha' (austerity), a temple official said here today.

The devotees also donated 403 gms of gold and 14 kgs of silver, the official added.

More than five lakh 'bhavanis' visited the temple during the period.
