Resident Doctors go on flash strike
Surat, Dec 22 (UNI) At least 18 Resident doctors went on a flash strike today after angry relatives allegedly assaulted them following an altercation over the death of a girl.
A three-year-old girl Prerna Gopal was brought to Surat Municipal Corporation owned-SMIMER Hospital this morning. The girl died before being admitted to the pediatric ward, hospital sources said.
The patient's relatives alleged that the death occurred due to the delay in admitting the patient and they had a heated argument with the Resident doctors.
However, the doctors alleged that somebody assaulted them during the altercation and declared that they were going on a day-long strike.
However the hospital authorities said the strike had not affected the functioning of the hospital.
