Pondy BSP wants white paper on tsunami relief

Puducherry, Dec 22 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today demanded a white paper from the government on tsunami relief and rehabilitation.

Talking to newspersons here, BSP State President Thanga Kalaimaran charged that funds from the Adidravidar Development Department were being diverted towards tsunami relief affecting the welfare measure for the Adidravidar people here.

He wondered why all the coalition partners of the Congress were tightlipped on the issue.

Mr Kalaimaran also alleged discrimination in the provision of tsunami relief and demanded the government stop forthwith 'appointment through the backdoor' failing which the party would organise agitations.
