Talking to mediapersons from his hospital bed at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here Mr Hussain said,''ULFA has fallen in some trap to create communal tension in the area.'' The MP from Dubri was hospitalised following injuries to his head.

He said the ULFA knows very well that the combined Bengali population in Barak Valley, Dubri and Goalpara districts are in absolute majority and they should not expect the Bengali's there to remain a silent spectator to witness their death. ''They will definite retaliate for their survival,'' he said.

Similarly, there are other districts where non-Asomese are in majority since sixty two percent of the State's population is non-Asomese.
