Media boycotts Dalai Lama's press conference

Varanasi, Dec 22: Peeved over inordinate delay, the media here today boycotted the press conference of Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.

The Tibetan leader was slated to address a press conference at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) at 1245 hrs, but failed to arrive at the conference till 1400hrs. Despite repeated requests by the CIHTS staff to stay back, the media personnel later boycotted the delayed conference.

The 71-year-old Nobel laureate later flew to New Delhi.
