Man sentenced to four years RI on culpable homicide charges

Kolhapur, Dec 22 (UNI) A local Ichalkaranji court today sentenced a man to four years rigorous imprisonment holding him guilty of culpable homicide.

According to the prosecution case, Dagadu Tukaram Fhase, hailing from Ichalkaranji town, had on July 7, 2003, attacked Shivaji Vitoba Shinde over a monetary dispute.

Shivaji was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to his injuries five days later.

A total of nine witnesses were examined in the case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 2000 on Dagadu.
