Live grenade recovered from a bus in Srinagar
Srinagar, Dec 22: Security forces today averted a major incident when they recovered a live grenade from a crowded passenger bus near general bus stand here.
Official sources said security forces deployed near the general bus stand at Batmaloo stopped a crowded passenger bus. All the passengers were directed to deboard the vehicle and later frisked.
However, when the security forces did not find anything during the frisking of the passengers, they searched the vehicle. A live grenade was later found in a box of organges.
Unconfirmed reports said one suspected was taken into custody by the security forces.
