Haryana to honour Doha gold medal winners
Chandigarh, Dec 22 (UNI) The Haryana Government will honour the five players who were the members of the Doha gold medal winning Indian Kabbadi Team by developing their native villages as 'model villages.' Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh said that the villages which would be made model villages included Makroli Kalan in district Rohtak, Kirmara in Hisar, Chamarkhera in Fatehabad and Adampur and Dhadi of district Bhiwani.
Mr Dharmabir said that for the all round development of these model villages, modern facilities especially in the field of Public Health and Education would be provided.
All the Additional Deputy Commissioners had been directed to carry out the developmental works of these villages in a phased and time bound manner. He said all the streets as well as the house numbers would be marked in these model villages for easy identification.
The other facilities such as cemented streets, sanitation, power, water and drainage system would be provided in these villages.
He said Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had already declared 18 villages as model villages and a sum of over Rs 25 crore had been released for carrying out developmental works of these villages.
