Haryana forms five new bomb squads
Chandigarh, Dec 22 (UNI) The Haryana government has created five new bomb disposal squads of Haryana Police for Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak and Gurgaon ranges and one for Haryana Armed Police (HAP), Madhuban.
A spokesman for the Home Department said every squad would be headed by a Senior Scientific Officer and would include Senior Scientific Assistant, Assistant Sub Inspector, Head Constable, Dog Handler (Constable), Kennelman and two constables.
He said the Government would give Rs five lakh as direct assistance money to the family member of any Bomb Squad employee who lost his life while performing his duty besides insuring them with an insurance company for this purpose.
