Guest house owner and four others arrested for molestation

Surat, Dec 22 (UNI) Bardoli police arrested the owner of a guest house and his four friends for allegedly molesting and assaulting a 33-year-old woman at a farm house in Bardoli.

According to a complaint filed by the woman earlier, police arrested the five accused - Raju Chauhan, the guest house owner and his friends, Sanjay Rajput, Narendra Patel, Ismail Hafez and Darmesh Patel yesterday. A case under sections 354, 411, 504, 506(2) and 114 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against them, police said.

The woman who approached a marriage bureau in Bardoli, went there to meet a prospective bridegroom. On December 16, she took a room in the guest house, where she was supposed to meet the prospective bridegroom the next day. However, the person did not come and she continued her stay.

On Monday, she went along with Raju Chauhan to a farm house in a village near Bardoli on the latter's request where Raju and his friends allegedly molested and assaulted her when she resisted.
