GHCL acquires US textile firm assets for $6.75 mn

New Delhi, Dec 22: Home textiles major and chemical firm Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd (GHCL) today said its step down US subsidiary Dan River Inc has acquired assets of H W Baker Lenin Co for 6.75 million dollars.

H W Baker Lenin Co, with a turnover of 70 million dollars, is a supplier of textile products covering sheets, terry lenins, blankets, pillows, pillows cases to leading hotels.

This acquisition will strengthen the existing position of Dan River Inc in sales to the institutional segment of home textiles, GHCL said in a statement.
