Federer vows to support rehabilitation of tsunami victims
Cuddalore, Dec 22 (UNI) UNICEF goodwill ambassador Roger Federer today said he would relentlessly support the rehabilitation of tsunami affected people.
Talking to media, after visiting a tsunami rehabilitation centre at Thazhamguda near here, he said the UNICEF should have enough funds to take up more rehabilitation programmes.
India had made great progress in rehabilitating the tsunami affected people, the top seeded tennis player said.
The government and the NGOs had done a fantastic job by initiating various welfare schemes for the tsunami victims.
However, Mr Federer parried all questions relating to tennis.
Meanwhile, a scuffle erupted between the organisers and the Indian journalists as they prevented the scribes from entering the venue.
