DesiMartini.com aims for No.1 spot in online comm

New Delhi, Dec 22: DesiMartini.com, an SMS based online social networking site for Indians around the world, by Gurgaon-based Pahwa KBS plans to reach a registered user base of one million members in six months.

DesiMartini.com integrates features from popular social networking sites such as Orkut, Friendster and MySpace but goes further and enhances the user experience through a rich user interface and useful SMS-based traits.

The online community lets users create their own customisable homepages, send in updates (what they are doing) via SMS wherever they are, upload and share pictures, join groups and communities, chat with other members, and stay in touch with old friends and discover new ones.

DesiMartini.com also lets users send free SMSes to any cell phone in India and has made plans for an extensive media campaign programme that to start in the first week of January.

Mr Vivek Pahwa, the 25-year-old CEO claims that having an in-house development team is a big advantage and wants the site to evolve and improve to suit the needs of its users.
