Delhi-Howrah railway line blocked

Lucknow, Dec 21 (UNI) The Delhi-Howrah railway route was blocked today when a truck got stuck on Sarai Bhupat crossing near Itawa railway station in Uttar Pradesh.

Due to the accident, several trains, including Poorva Jansadharan Express and Lichhavi Express, had to be stopped from plying on the Delhi-Howrah route, official sources said.

The Gomti Express will stay suspended tomorrow as a result of the incident.

Police and railway officials had reached the scene of the accident and efforts were on to clear the route.
