Coimbatore lawyers to resume work from tomorrow
Coimbatore, Dec 22 (UNI) Following the request of Chief Justice of Madras High Court A P Shah, lawyers of Coimbatore Bar Association have resolved to resume work from tomorrow.
The lawyers were protesting against the attack on a lawyer A S Mohammed Raffi allegedly by three policemen on Thursday night.
Madras High Court Chief Justice had sent Registrar (Vigilance) and former Principal Distric Judge S F Akbar as a special messenger to the city. He had visited the injured lawyer in the hospital.
Bar Association President N Sundaravadivelu told newspersons that they were withdrawing their court boycott agitation.
However, they would not give up this issue and would continue their agitation by way of agitations before the High Court and other people's forum, he added.
