Both the houses of Parliament prorogued

New Delhi, Dec 22 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today prorogued both the houses of Parliament.

The Lok Sabha which commenced its 9th Session on November 22, has been prorogued from December 21, according to Parliament sources.

The Upper House was adjourned sine die on December 19 after the winter session.

During the session, a number of important legislations were passed by Parliament including the OBC reservation bill, the Child Marriage Bill and the Foreign Exchange Regulation (Amendment) Bill.
