BJP attacks UPA for all-round failure
Lucknow, Dec 22 (UNI) With the Assembly elections around the corner, the BJP today attacked the UPA Government and ''pseudo secular forces'' for pursuing the policy of appeasing the minorities and jeopardising the country's nuclear programme by inking nuclear deal with the US while 'failing' to contain terrorism and price rise.
The party began its three-day meet at the Convention Centre here with BJP President Rajnath Singh setting the tone for the deliberations over the next two days by ridiculing the UPA Government for its ''all-round failure'' and asked party cadre to fully gear up for the coming assembly elections with a firm resolve to dislodge the 'incompetent governments' of Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav in UP, Mr Narayan Dutt Tiwari in Uttranchal and Capt Amarinder Singh in Punjab.
BJP General Secretary and spokesman Arun Jaitley briefed newspersons about the party's deliberations of the first day and mocked at the Centre for its 'poor' handling of the terrorism menace in the country, terming the reported threat by Al-Qaeda to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi as an eye-opener for the Manmohan Singh Government.
Mr Jaitley said the party had ... picking up from para four, line one of DR58, POLITICS-BJP-LEAD CONCLAVE.
