New Delhi, Dec 22: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a Rs 165 crore order from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for setting up an energy efficient and environment friendly power plant at its Haldia Refinery Complex.

BHEL will set up a frame-5 gas turbine-based co-generation power plant, on lumpsum turnkey basis, within 22 months, the company's spokesman told UNI today.

The project is expected to meet the requirement of uninterrupted power supply, in addition to the steam needs of the refinery.

BHEL will design, engineer, manufacture, supply, erect and commission the frame-5 generator and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) of 130 tonnes per hour capacity.

While the gas turbine generator will be manufactured at BHEL's Hyderabad plant, the HRSG and state-of-the-art control system will be manufactured at the company's Trichy plant and Electronics Division, Bangalore, respectively.

For IOC, BHEL is already executing a similar turnkey contract at its Haldia Refinery Complex.
