Bengal, Rajasthan gain two points each
Hyderabad, Dec 22 (UNI) Bengal and Rajasthan gained two points from their drawn matches in the Under-17 Vijay Merchant trophy cricket championship here today.
Bengal forced a slender first innings lead of 14 runs over Hyderabad and gained two points. They scored 130 for two wickets in 75 overs in their second innings with, Avirup Gupta (40,6x4), S S Mondal (30, 3x4) and Jayojit Basu (32 no, 3x4) being the main scorers.
In another match Karnataka made 121 for the loss of four wickets in their second innings against Rajasthan, following on after Rajasthan declared their first innings closed at 468 for three.
Manish Pandey scored an unbeaten 50 (75 balls, 11x4).
Brief Scores: Bengal 212 and 130/2 in 75 overs drew with Hyderabad 198 in 101.4 overs.
Karnataka 268 and 121/4 in 48 overs drew with Rajasthan 468/3 in 136 overs.
