Babul tax free in Delhi from today

New Delhi, Dec 22 (UNI) Ravi Chopra's Babul which seeks to propagate the social message of widow remarriage, was today given tax free status in the Capital for a period of three months.

Sources told UNI here that the Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee starrer was made tax free after its special screening here in the presence of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and revenue department officials of the Delhi government.

The film has been made tax free because its strongly propagating the social message of widow remarriage, they said.

Babul is the second film in recent months to be made tax free because of its strong social message.

Directed by Ravi Chopra and produced by B R Chopra, the film also stars yesteryear dream girl Hema Malini and Bollywood star Salman Khan.
