Andhra Assembly adjourned sine die after 10-day stormy session
Hyderabad, Dec 22 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die after a stormy ten-day winter session this evening.
Even on the last day members of the two main opposition parties, the TDP and the TRS were suspended for disrupting proceedings of the House.
Announcing the adjournment, Speaker K R Suresh Reddy said during the ten days, the House met for 54 hours and 55 minutes.
He said 70 starred and 80 unstarred questions were answered.
While only one issue under Rule 304 could be taken up, Ministers made 96 speeches and notices for 74 adjournment motions were received.
Strength of different parties in the House: Congress - 186, TDP - 45, TRS 26, CPI(M) - 9, CPI - 6, AIMI(M) - 5, BJP 2, Janata Party 2, Samajwadi Party - 1, Independents 1 and nominated member 1.
