14 persons receive life term in Ajmer district
Ajmer, Dec 22 (UNI) A lower court today sentenced 14 people to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a temple priest.
One Bhanwardas constructed a new temple near Balaji's old temple in Borada village under Sarwar police station.
When Bhanwardas asked old temple's priest, Badri, to become the priest of the new temple, he refused.
Angry over the refutal, Bhanwardas, Lalaram and his associates attacked Badri and his relatives with sharp weapons on September 27.
They dragged Badri to the new temple and murdered him. Badri's women relatives sustained serious injuries.
Sarwar police arrested 14 people that day. Later except the main accused Lalaram, the other 13 were set free on bail.
Kekri session court judge Chagan Lal Gupta today sentenced main accused Lalaram to life imprisonment along with Bhanwardas, Radheyshyam, Gordhan, Mahaveer, Polu, Ramniwas, Kana, Gopal, Balu, Shivraj, Hansraj, Ganesh and Nathu.
