TN village gets facelift following Stalin's visit

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Dec 21 (UNI) A remote Village at Nagathi, near Thanjavur on Thiruvaiyaru road on the bank of Vettar river will get a facelift, following the visit of Local Administration Minister M K Stalin, a few days ago.

The Minister enquired about the infrastructure facilities needed for the development of the people there.

The District Collector M Vijaya Rajakumar, who visited the village yesterday said repairing of damaged houses and electrical fittings would be undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 75,000.

Mr Rajakumar said the bridge on Vettar river would be renovated and another constructed soon.

Besides, various other development works would be taken up in the village to assist the villagers, he added.
