Royal Enfield bikes to cost Rs 2,200 more

Chennai, Dec 21: Royal Enfield today announced a price hike of Rs 2,200 for its models from January one, 2007.

The price hike is applicable across the range of bikes including the Bullet 350, Bullet Electra, Bullet Electra 55, Bullet Machismo and the Thunderbird, a company release here said.

Continuous rise in input costs of raw materials had compelled the company to hike the price.

The new price would come into effect from January one, 2007, the release added.
