Retired IAS heads Punjab Pay Commission

Chandigarh, Dec 21 (UNI) A former IAS officer of the Punjab cadre will head the four member fifth Punjab Pay Commission for government employees of the state, an official spokesman today stated.

Mr S K Tuteja, former Union Secretary for Food and Public Distribution, will head the Commission.

Its other members will be Mr R S Ghuman, economist and Mr A S Oberai,who retired from the International Labour Organisation. Mr R C Nayyar,IAS officer, will be the member-secretary of the commission.

Mr Tuteja is a former IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He retired in June last year.

The Commission would submit its report within 18 months, from the date of notification.
