Railway and private bidder proposes for auction of industrial area

Patna, Dec 21 (UNI) Railway and IB Enterprises of Mumbai, a private bidder came forward with their rates for auction of Rohtas industrial area, a sick unit of the state auction of which would be decided by Patna High court.

In a single bench of the court of justice V N Sinha the private bidder quoted the rate at Rs 125 crores which was countered by the counsel of railways.

The Railways too was ready to purchase the sick unit and it offered to Pay Rs 140 crores. To this the private bidder too agreed to pay the auction value at Rs 140 crores but for this the counsel appearing on behalf of the private party sought some time to get clearance from its management in Mumbai.

The matter would be heard on January 11.
