Naxalites attack Dalma guest house; Torch truck

Jamshedpur, Dec 21 (UNI) Armed CPI(Maoist)rebels today ransacked a guest house on Dalma hill near here and then set ablaze the furnitures after beating up the guard.

Police said the ultras torched a truck after attacking the guest house. They also snatched the cell phone of the guard, police said.

Another group of rebels attacked the forest department office at Makulakocha under Chandil police station area in Seraikela-Kharsawan district and snatched walkie-talkie and mobile phones and Rs 3000 in cash at gun point. The naxalites also beat up the employees before leaving the office, police said.

The district police and a Special Task Force(STF) had launched a combing operaton in and around the Dalma hill area following the incident, police added.
