MRPL sells 50KT gas oil to Kuwait's IPG

SINGAPORE, Dec 21 (Reuters) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) sold 50,000 tonnes of gas oil to Kuwait's International Petroleum Group (IPG), while it cancelled the sale of its jet fuel component, India-based traders said on Thursday.

The firm sold the parcel of 0.5 percent sulphur gas oil at around an - a barrel premium to Middle East Dubai spot quotes, a source said.

Loading dates for the gas oil are scheduled for Jan. 10-12 from New Mangalore on a free-on-board (FOB) basis.

The firm has decided to cancel the sale of 36,000 or 60,000 tonne parcel of jet fuel after it sold 36,000 tonnes of jet-kerosene at a a barrel premium to Dubai spot quotes to Vitol last week.
