Marketing officer arrested in Bihar

Darbhanga, Dec 21 (UNI) The vigilance sleuths arrested a marketing officer for taking bribe of Rs 2000 under Ghanshyampur police station area here last night.

Official sources here today said following a complaints made by a dealer, the vigilance team raided the residence of the arrested and caught him red handed.

In his complaint, the dealer had stated that the arrested had seized his licence and was demanding Rs 7000 to return the same.

The dealer said he had already given Rs 500 to the marketing officer, who was demanding Rs 2000 in addition.

Meanwhile, a report from Sasaram said a supply inspector was also arrested in Sasaram, the district headquarters of Rohtas, when he was taking bribe of Rs 4500 from a dealer.
