Mgmt experts to participate in Int'l Conference

Chennai, Dec 21: Leading management gurus from across the globe will participate in an International Conference to be held here on December 24.

The Conference, organised by Yale-Great Lakes Center for Management Research (Y-GLCMR), will have the theme 'Global Mindset-Indian Roots.' Addressing a press conference here yesterday, city-based Great Lakes Institute of Management Founder Bala V Balachandran and Y-GLCMR Director Venkar R Krishnan said the Conference was primarily an attempt to bring the best brains of the world on a common forum and to ponder upon how to develop global mindset, while having a strong India focus.

Mr Balachandran said illustrious professors from well known universities like Stanford, Kellogg, Columbia, Georgia State University, Fayetteville State University, IIM-A and IIM-B would address the Conference.

Stating there was an overwhelming response from academia and industry for paper presentation, Mr Krishnan said after two-stage scrutiny, 30 papers had been chosen.

Gallup Organisation, Georgia State University, Atlanta, Hexaware, IIM (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow), IIT (Kharagpur, Chennai), ISB Hyderabad, Standard Chartered, TCS, Orchid Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Ltd were some of the institutes that had sent their papers.
