Man, woman end life in lodge

Puducherry, Dec 21 (UNI) A 25 year-old man and a woman of the same age allegedly committed suicide at a private lodge near Chinna Manigundu here last night.

According to police, the man gave his address as Srinivasan from Tirupati and checked in at 1000 hrs, yesterday. They went round Puducherry and went to bed. Since, their room ramained locked from inside till this noon, the lodge authorities grew suspicious and informed the police.

A police team led by senior Superintendent of Police Chaya Sharma rushed to the lodge and broke open the door to find both of them hanging from a hook on the ceiling.

The bodies were sent for post-mortem. Police have registered a case and are trying to verify whether they are couple or lovers and hail from Tirupati as registered.
