Haryana to spend Rs 2.15 crore youth welfare
Chandigarh, Dec 21 (UNI) The Haryana government has made an allocation of Rs 2.15 crore for the all round development and welfare of the youth in the state during the current financial year.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharmbir Singh said that under this programme, the State Sports and Youth Affairs Department had formulated a number of schemes such as the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Chetna Sangh, Adventure Sports and the Youth Clubs all over the state for providing a number of facilities to the youths.
Mr Dharambir said in order to make the youth aware of the serious consequences of the drug addiction and the killer AIDS disease, regular seminars were being organised in the state.
Besides, career guidance camps and seminars were being organised in the soft skills and personality development in various parts of the state.
He said that the coaching camps were being organised in advencture Sports, Animal Husbandary and the food processing with a view to guiding the youth in the proper direction.
