"Gujarat is a goldmine for realtors :GIHED

Mumbai, Dec 21 (UNI) The Gujarat Institute of Housing and Estate Developers (GIHED) will hold a three-day exhibition ''Brand Ahmedabad: 2020 starting from January 1,2007 in Ahmedabad to highlight the rising prospects of real estate investment oppurtunities in Gujarat.

Gujarat and Ahmedabad in particular with its great economic and cultural heritage has been tranformed into a goldmine destination for realtors to explore, said GIHED president Jaxay Shah.

''In addition, the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) has ranked Ahmedabad as the ninth best city in the country. As a result, a large number of software companies are investing in Gujarat making it the latest Information Technology (IT) destination in the country,'' said Mr Shah.

He said GIHED has come up with technology to construct cost-effective earthquake resistant homes. It will also assist realtors and investors to develop Ahmedabad as a planned city by 2020.

Brand Ahmedabad:2020 will showcase upcoming Special Economic Zones (SEZ), infrastructure projects, IT Parks, including a two-day seminar to enlighten investors and realtors on the scope of Real Estate Investments in Ahmedabad along with the infrastructure and urban developments.

The event will also feature varied life style homes, luxury bungalows, hitech apartments, integrated town ships, commercial complexes, farmhouses, golf course and a host of other real estate choices and the release of a special magazine.

Established in 1980, GIHED has 560 members including a Canadian firm Pacifica in its board. Its members mostly comprise of companies from construction industry, real estate market, architect firms and individuals like civil engineers and others.
