Court acquits Raja Bhaiyya, Gopalji

Pratapgarh, Dec 21 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh food and civil supplies minister and controvertial independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias 'Raja Bhaiyya' and Samajwadi Party MP Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopalji have been acquitted in separate cases due to lack of evidence.

They were acquitted by the court of Kunda judicial magistrate Naresh Kumar last evening after most of the witnesses turned hostile.

According to the prosecution, two cases were pending against the duo at Manikpur and Nawabganj police stations for indulging in violence and issuing life threats.
