Consumers' week to be observed in K'taka from Dec 24
Bangalore, Dec 21 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has decided to observe Consumers' Week across the State from December 24 with the theme 'Empowerment of Consumers', Food and Civil Supplies Minister Govind Karjol said today.
Talking to reporters here, he said the Government had decided to take up the week as a mass movement and had sanctioned Rs 50,000 to each district for taking up awareness programmes during the week.
The Minister said the Government had sought the cooperation of schools and the public for making the movement a success.
The National Consumers' Day would be observed on December 24 with the theme 'Empowerment of Consumers - Assert Rights, Pursue Remedies', he added.
