CM launches the Gitex India and Indiasoft brochures

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy today launched the Gitex India and Indiasoft, Mega Information and Communications Technollgy Products Exhibitions and show events to be held here on January 9 and 10.

Launching the brochure, he said the growth of the IT industry would increase both in software and hardware in view of the exhibitions.

He said an added attraction this year was coinciding with Gotex India, the Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council(ESC) of India in association with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department of the state was organising the Indiasoft for the first time here in the same venue.

Principal Secretary to Government ICT Ms.K.Ratna Prabha said the department was orginising Gitex India exhibitions from 2002, in association with the Dubai Woprld Trade Centre (DwtC).

She said Gitex India targets an exhibition space of about 4000 sq. ft. with over 150 exhibitors and 15000 trade and business visitors and expects to strike viable business deals, foreign tie ups and investment collaborations.

She said the government had exempted payment of VAT by the purchasers at the computer shopper, during the event.

She said India Soft was a unique 'Right' sellers and 'right'buyers meeting place for small or medium size enterprises in the information technology business.
