12-member ARC team to visit North East

Guwahati, Dec 21 (UNI) A 12-member Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC), headed by Veerapaa Moily, will arrive on a six-day visit to the state and two other North Eastern states from January two.

Official sources said here today that the team would arrive here on January two and discuss with the state government officials on special administrative issues.

The ARC team would meet Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on January four and would have public hearing here on January five.

Meanwhile, the state government officials, headed by Additional Chief Secretary A K Arora, had a detailed discussion about submission of matters to be discussed with the Commission.

The ARC team would also visit Itanagar, the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh, and Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya.
