Thieves decamp with Rs 17 lakh valuables from a house in Umra

Surat, Dec 18 (UNI) A businessman was looted of his valuables including gold and diamond jewellery amd US dollars at Urma here.

Police said the house of Arvind Ramanlal Kagalwala, a chemical businessman, resident of Adarsh Society in Umra, was looted yesterday by unidentified persons. Kaganwala was away on a visit to a temple at Pal with his wife and son who had returned from USA, when the incident took place.

After returning, they found that the house was broken and valuables and currencies worth Rs 17 lakh were looted, sources said.

The culprits broke open the grill door to enter the house. Finger prints from the spot have been collected and further investigations are on.
