Satyam to provide Oracle appl to Indian mid-mkt cos

New Delhi, Dec 18: Satyam Computer Services Ltd today announced it will resell Oracle's JD Edwards applications to mid-market companies in India.

The arrangement is an extension of the company's 10-year partnership with the enterprise resource planning leader and will enable both organisations to deliver enterprise solutions to a growing number of Indian firms.

''Satyam considers India as critical to its growth,'' said Mr Virender Aggarwal, Director and Senior Vice President, APAC and MEIA operations, of the company.

Oracle and the company are collaborating to create tailored solutions for clients in industries such as retail, construction, industrial manufacturing and real estate.

Mr Sriram Papani, a senior vice president in the company's Enterprise Application Practice said, ''Strengthening our partnership with Oracle to serve mid-market clients with JD Edwards is a key element of our expansion strategy.'' Satyam Computer Services features one of the world's leading Oracle Application practices, with more than 2,500 consultants in 48 countries.

In addition to India, the company is a reseller of JD Edwards applications in APAC, Europe, and West Asia, as well as a Certified Advantage Partner in the Oracle Partner Network (the highest level of partnership).

Moreover, it has a strong JD Edwards practice within its Oracle Practice Group serving numerous global customers.

The company has JD Edwards solution centres in Hyderabad and Mumbai, both of which are positioned well to serve to domestic market requirements.
