CPI(M) demands K'taka Govt to take a cue from Andhra CM

Gulbarga, Dec 18 (UNI) CPI(M) State Secretariat member Maruthi Manpade today suggested that the Karnataka Government take a cue from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh Government, which had started confiscating assigned lands from landlords to be distributed to the landless poor.

Talking to UNI here, he demanded that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his Cabinet colleagues surrender their excess land to the Government to be distributed to the poor.

As the neighbouring State had done, the excess lands of people, irrespective of their political leanings and status, should be confiscated and handed over to the landless poor, he added.
